Chairman’s Message
Welcome everyone to the 2009/10 Representative season and to our MyCricket website. This website will become a hive of activity over the next few months and I highly urge all players, officials and even visitors, to regularly visit the page for important updates and information. Thanks to our Acting Executive Officer Eric Myatt in getting this website up and running.
While we are good at what we do, there are mistakes made from time to time. We have attempted to link all grounds used for the Representative season with a Google map. I would appreciate feedback from Associations if we have inadvertently linked the wrong ground, so that we can correct the error.
There is one thing I am proud of in the NSWDCA and it is the success of our representative program. This program has been the first step for so many first class and international players over the years. It is satisfying to know that we will continue to produce for NSW and Australia quality cricketers from our ranks. Current Australian players include Michael Clarke (Fairfield Liverpool) and Stuart Clark (Sutherland) and of course many of the current NSW squad had their origins in the representative program.
In conclusion, I wish every team in all competitions the best of luck. It is a great honour to represent your local area in these esteem competitions. Please do so with pride.
