Increasing the Cricket NSW Support of the DCA

As discussed at the meeting, and covered in the relevant PowerPoint slides, Cricket NSW is increasing its support of NSWDCA. This will be achieved in a number of ways;

Eric Myatt will continue in a role as DCA Administrative Officer playing a key role in supporting all competition activities

· Level 2 Coaching Course (free of charge) for NSWDCA Junior Coaches – more information and invitation to follow

· Other items as identified via a survey of associations

 Revamped Talent Pathway

Via the Cricket Australia strategic funding process Cricket NSW has sourced additional funding for a revamp of the talent pathway;

· Cricket NSW and Cricket Australia will increase their investment in the talent pathway from the Under 13 to Under 19 Level

· This will result in more players being involve, more coaching and more competitions for talented young cricketers

· There will be no impact to the NSWDCA competition

· More information will be released shortly pending review by governing bodies (outline from the session has been removed from the presentation)

Breakers Junior Cricket League

In the 2014/2015 season Cricket NSW will be introducing a revised female participation pathway;

· Supported by Cricket NSW game development, talent and operations departments

· Clear alignment between junior and senior participation programs

· Drive significant growth via connection to T20Blast and other female cricket initiatives

· We encourage clubs to get involved
