McDonald’s Facility Grants Program expressions of interest now open!
Date of Event : Mon Jun 27, 2016 1:08PM

Cricket NSW is pleased to announce that the McDonald’s Facility Grants Program will be conducted again for 2016.

Expressions of Interest for the 2016/17 CNSW & McDonald’s Facility Grants Program will be open on Monday 27 June 2016 and close 5pm Monday 11 July 2016.

Since the Program commenced in 2013, Cricket NSW in partnership with McDonald’s, has supported over 90 cricket facility projects worth $27 million across regional and metropolitan NSW.

The Program offers grants to Councils, Schools, Clubs and Associations across NSW towards cricket facility developments.  Grant funding of up to $450,000 is available for major projects including the development or upgrade to training nets, synthetic or turf pitches, as well as ground improvements or club amenities.

Cricket NSW Manager of State Infrastructure and Government Relations, Anthony Brooks, is delighted with the success of the Program over the last three years.  “Cricket NSW has received an overwhelming response to the Program.  It’s fantastic to see that each year we receive an increasing number of applications with the primary purpose of providing quality facilities to help develop and foster cricket across the State,” he said.

“The 2016/17 Program will be opening shortly and we invite local cricket clubs and the broader NSW community to submit an Expression of Interest from this coming Monday 27 June”.

The new online EOI process aims to identify eligible cricket projects across the State and provide support to submitting a quality application to the 2016/17 Program via your local Cricket NSW Development Manager.

Peter Meadows, McDonald’s NSW/ACT Co-Operative President and local Licensee, said the Facility Grants Program is just one of the ways the partnership between McDonald’s and Cricket NSW supports cricket communities across the State.

“McDonald’s restaurants across NSW are supported by their local community so it was a natural step for us to support the development of a sport loved by Aussies across NSW, including myself,” said Peter.

“I encourage local cricket communities to submit an Expression of Interest to the Program, as McDonald’s and Cricket NSW may be able to help improve your local facilities,” concluded Peter.
