Cricket NSW and Cricket Australia will next month provide a free leadership development workshop to develop and support women from cricket clubs and associations.
Delivered by Matti Clements from Mental Edge Consulting, the content focuses on assisting the move from being a passionate volunteer to a valuable leader within a cricket club.
The sessions also give an opportunity to network and meet other women within the cricket community.
Cricket NSW’s Community Engagement Leader Julie Stafford is encouraging all women involved in cricket at a local level to attend the workshop.
“Cricket NSW wants to encourage more females to be involved with in the sport - whether it is playing, coaching, umpiring or in administration,” said Ms Stafford
“There are some wonderful examples of females driving growth in Cricket in many areas and this one day workshop is an opportunity to share experiences and challenges.
“The day is designed to equip females with the skills, techniques and resources to confidently and decisively work within their cricket community to effect change for the benefit of the sport.”
Two workshops will be held in Sydney:
- Saturday 2 July - Parkview Room, Pullman Hotel, 36 College Street, Sydney
- Sunday 3 July - AFL/Cricket Centre Function Room, Blacktown International Sportspark, Rooty Hill.
Bookings for both workshops are essential and can be made here
