Date of Event : Fri Oct 6, 2017 5:27PM

The following changes have been made to the NSW Districts Cricket Association Inter-Association Handbook 2017/18 following the NSWDCA Delegates meeting on 5th October 2017.

By-Law 3 PITCHES 3.3 has been amended in the following fashion:

Boundaries of a specified distance (i.e. Foster Shield, Creak Shield, Cawsey Shield, Gee Sheld, Dive Shield, Moore Shield and Peden Shield) have been re-defined as a maximum distance. The following addition has been added relating to ALL Shields:

All boundary markers should be placed at least 2.74m away from any off-field hazard (including, but not limited to, fences, concrete perimeters, trees and other fixed objects) as per the JLT Game Day Checklist. After considering these off-field hazards, boundary distances should be set as close to the maximum distance as the playing surface and surroundings permit.

An Addition has been made to By-Law 3 PITCHES.

By-Law 3.3 now includes the text:

"Failure of the home team to provide (or otherwise source), two sets of stumps, described in By-Law 3.5 and Playing Condition Law amendment 8.1, will result in the match being forfeited by the home team."

An addition has been made to Playing Condition Law 8 The Wickets.

Law 8.1 now includes the text:

"For the purposes of interpreting MCC Law 8, Laws 29, 30, 31, 32, 35, 38 and 39 (Dismissals and Appeals), the base of any portable wooden sprung stumps shall be considered as part of the stumps."
